Ghostwriting Squad Launches “Behind the Byline,” a Spotlight Series on the Editors Who Shape the Story
Houston, TX – August 26, 2026 – Ghostwriting Squad, the full-service book writing and publishing firm, today announced the launch of “Behind the Byline,” an ongoing spotlight series that shifts attention away from author milestones and onto the team that makes them possible: the editors, researchers, and cover artists working quietly behind every finished book.
Most conversations about publishing focus on the author whose name is on the cover. Ghostwriting Squad says “Behind the Byline” is meant to widen that lens, showing readers and prospective clients what actually happens between a rough idea and a finished manuscript, and who’s doing that work.
“People know the author’s name, but they rarely know the editor who spent six months untangling a timeline, or the researcher who fact-checked every chapter,” said Hannah Sandler, Managing Editor at Ghostwriting Squad. “This series is our chance to give credit where it’s actually due, and to show people what ‘ghost-editing’ really looks like, because it’s a lot more involved than most people assume.”
Each installment in the series will feature a different member of the Ghostwriting Squad team, walking through their role in a specific project: how they approached a difficult manuscript, what “finding the author’s voice” actually requires in practice, and the decisions that shape a book long before it reaches a reader.
The series debuts with a feature on Lynn Rogers, Senior Publishing Consultant at Ghostwriting Squad.
“A lot of what we do is invisible by design, if the reader can tell an editor was involved, we haven’t done our job,” said Lynn Rogers. “But invisible doesn’t mean unimportant.
